More games are now launching in broken states, such as the infamous case of Cyberpunk 2077 yet just because its more common does not mean that gamers are more likely to let developers and publishers get away with releasing an unfinished game, especially when it still costs $60 or more. Battlefield 4 and Star Wars Battlefront II both faced negative reviews and were bombed by fans and critics alike for the sorry state that they were released in. Battlefield 2042 has kept up EA's curse of disappointing and sometimes unplayable launches.
